The Physical Therapy Department hosted two Swedish physical therapy students during the first week of school.
The visitors worked with two USciences students, Marissa Handwerk DPT’13, and Rachel Buriani DPT’13, on a capstone project, "Evaluating Health Related Physical Activity Amongst Physical Therapy Students, an International Perspective." They were comparing the physical activity level in PT students at USciences with PT students at University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
The students also attended classes with our students and participated in a discussion on different healthcare systems in a health business and policy according to Karin Grävare Silbernagel, assistant professor in Physical Therapy.
