Prizes! Fame! Fortune!

The Misher Festival of Fine Arts and Humanities and the University of the Sciences Honors Program are sponsoring a photo contest on "Images of Nature." Send in one or two of your own photographs. Photos will be shown on USP TV across the campus and you'll have the chance to win big prizes.

Here is the information you need:

Who: All University of the Sciences faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and students are invited to take part.

What: Any kind of photograph that fits the theme of "Images of Nature." You can take pictures of people, bugs, trees, pollution, or flowers—be creative.

Where: Photographs will be shown on USP TV across campus and the winning photo will be framed and hung in the East Building.

When: Submit your photographs by midnight on Jan. 19, 2009. Images will be displayed during the 2009 Misher Festival of Fine Arts & Humanities Jan. 26-30, 2009.

How: Send no more than two photographs in jpeg format, up to 10mb each, to misherfestivalcontest@usp.edu. Submitting files will be your way of affirming that they are your own photographs, not owned, taken, or retouched by anyone else, and that University of the Sciences has the permission to judge and to showcase your work.

Why: Prizes! Justin Rectenwald of Rectenwald Studio (Philadelphia) will serve as the contest judge.

First prize will be $100 and a framed copy of your photograph; Second prize will be $50 and a framed copy of your photograph; Third prize will be $50.
