Bridging the Gaps (BTG) offers monthly lectures and dinners for students and interested faculty.  Please share this notice with pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and health psychology students and faculty. Students are welcome to attend even if they did not participate in the BTG program. Seminars are open to all. See www.bridgingthegaps.info for more information.

Navigating Emergency Medical Assistance: Health Rights of the Uninsured Community Legal Services Staff

- This Seminar will explain Emergency Medical Assistance and explore the complexities in determining eligibility for Medicaid.  Utilizing interactive case studies the seminar participants will learn the process of obtaining emergency Medicaid for serious medical problems.

Working with Interpreters:
When You and Your Patient Do Not Speak the Same Language Vincent J. Zarro, MD, PhD, & the Chinatown Clinic Staff

- This Seminar will illustrate the skills needed to communicate with patients whose culture/language differs from the provider.
This session will offer an opportunity for practice and feedback.
