The Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy is making strides towards developing a strategic plan that will help set the course for USP’s newest college.
William Ashton, Interim Dean for Mayes College, outlined a few of the initiatives that the college is focusing on, such as integration of the Health Policy Institute and Advanced Concepts Institute along with development of the Leadership Institute. Additional agenda items include development of corporate partnerships and recruitment of new students.
“We've had some discussions internationally about finding international partners,” said Ashton. “We recently spoke with someone from India who wants to help us develop relationships with Indian universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies.”
In addition to development of the strategic plan, the new college is also working to outreach to regional pharmaceutical companies and organizations.
