Have you given thought to what you’ll do once you graduate or looking to expand your career options? Have you considered a fellowship?
University of the Sciences will host an information session for the USciences/Genentech Managed Markets Fellowship Program on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at 6 p.m. The session is specifically geared to recent alumni (graduation years 2010, 2011, and 2012) along with students scheduled to graduate in 2013 and 2014 who are interested in pursuing a career within the pharmaceutical industry. The program will be held in the McNeil Science and Technology Center’s AstraZeneca auditorium (45th St. at Woodland Ave.).
“This is a rare opportunity to become an expert in all aspects of pharmaceutical reimbursement and market access while becoming intimately familiar with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and the current state of U.S. Healthcare Reform,” said Yelena A. Yankovskaya PharmD’12, MBA’14, a Managed Markets Fellow from 2012-14. “If you have (or are about to have) an MBA, PharmD, MPH, or an MS or PhD in health policy this program could be ideal for you.”
The first year consists of several experiential rotations coupled with a strong teaching component at University of the Sciences and a long-term project. The second year consists of brand-specific projects in-house at Genentech, in South San Francisco.

Although there is structure within the program, fellows are expected to work independently. Fellows are also encouraged to show initiative and actively pursue opportunities for professional development and leadership.
