American Diabetes Association (ADA) NBC Phone Bank
Posted: Wednesday, October 05, 2011

USciences students from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy helped answer callers’ questions as part of American Diabetes Association (ADA) NBC Phone Bank. PCP was represented by P4 students Adam Diamond PharmD’12, Heeae Kim PharmD’12, Noor Kassim PharmD’12, and Danielle Perfetti PharmD’12 along with Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice Katherine F. Koffer, PharmD, CDE.

From the students’ perspective, they were amazed at the range of questions from the callers that included both patients with diabetes as well as family members. They were able to provide answers or direct the callers to an appropriate resource. In addition, they enjoyed interacting with the multidisciplinary team assembled for the Phone Bank.
