Access to Library Resources from Off Campus
Our goal is to offer every resource we can both on and off-campus. Some vendors will not allow off-campus access; for others, there may be technical reasons that limit access. However, you can access nearly all our electronic journals. Check Our Journal List.
To access our resources from off-campus, you will need your USciences network username and password. Please do not share your USciences password with others. To do so jeopardizes your individual access to library resources, and endangers the library's ability to provide resources to the USciences community.
Use Ask a Librarian to report any problems.
Need an Article from the Library's Print Collection?
If the article you want is not available online and we have a print subscription, we'll send it to you. You can order the article through ILLiad by filling out the online request form. Please note your student ID # and the number of your experiential learning course in the “Notes” field of the form. Need the article today? If we need to drop everything to send it to you, there's a $10 charge.
Need an Article from Another Library?
If the library's collection doesn't include a document, you can place an interlibrary loan request for it at no charge using ILLiad. To learn more about ILLiad on the Interlibrary Loan page.
Interlibrary loan requests can take up to two weeks to receive, so please allow time for processing when making your request. Books can be mailed to your home or work address. Journal articles can be mailed or sent as PDF attachments to your e-mail account. Rush items are subject to a $10 processing fee.
Need Drug Information on Your Mobile Device?
As part of our arrangement with Micromedex, USciences faculty and students can download mobileMicromedex to their mobile devices. If you're on campus, you can go to Micromedex (use the Databases A-Z link in the Quick Links sidebar). On the Micromedex page, click on the link labeled "MOBILE" (found near the top left corner of the page) and follow directions for your mobile device.
Additional Drug Information for PA public library card holders:
The state of Pennsylvania provides the drug database, Clinical Pharmacology, to users of public libraries who participate in Access Pa. If you have a public library card that has an "Access PA" icon on it, go to your public library website and look for "Power Library." Clinical Pharmacology will be one of the choices.
