The new Password Policy, approved by the IT Steering Committee
is as follows:
"The University's account holders are responsible to make reasonable attempts to protect their account password(s) and to keep those passwords private. Passwords must be changed at least every 90 days or when the account holder suspects that his/her password may have been compromised. The account holder must create a password that is a minimum of eight characters that does not contain their account or full name and must contains at least three of the following four groups:
Access to an account is limited to the person or persons authorized by the University to use the account, and accounts may not be shared."
This change will mean a change in the way you choose and use passwords. But in return for the extra effort, you will know that your confidential information is safe and you will have only one password to remember.
