dotPhysical therapy professor Dr. Lisa Hoglund received the 2015 Best Case Study Award for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy at the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting's Sports Section Awards Ceremony, held in Anaheim, California on Thursday, Feb. 18. A presentation that she recently made about her patellofemoral osteoarthritis research was also covered in the periodical Lower Extremity Review.

ORSULA VOLTIS KNOWLTON
P'91, PharmD'93, MBA, was elected secretary serving on the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Board of Trustees for 2016. Dr. Knowlton of Moorestown, NJ, is president of CareKinesis, Inc., an organization partnering with accountable care organizations to provide and coordinate medicine management services for individuals with complex medical needs.

RITU MALHOTRA
PharmD’04, BA, has been named Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Benefits Consulting at Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (PSG), the nation’s largest independent pharmacy benefit and strategic consulting firm. Before joining PSG in December, Dr. Malhotra spent seven years at Segal Consulting, most recently serving as National Pharmacy Benefits Practice Leader.

RICH SAUNDERS
B’06, DPT’14, has been named the head women's volleyball coach at University of the Sciences. Dr. Saunders has served as the team’s assistant coach for the past two seasons, and has earned the respect of his players and colleagues alike.

2010
RICHARD DiGIACOMO DPT’10 has been named head coach of the Devils Cross Country Teams (Men’s and Women’s) by the USciences Athletic Department.

SUSAN CUSACK
PhD’12, executive director of Mercy Catholic Medical Center was featured in the Philly Business Journal as one of the top executives and administrators at one-third of the area’s hospitals and health systems, making the Philadelphia region well ahead of the national average. Philly Business Journal: Why Philadelphia is Ahead of the Curve.

SHIVALI PATEL B’12, MS, is a second year medical student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and received the Five Brothers Memorial Scholarship from PCOM. The Scholarship was established in memory of the five brothers of Harry Ginsburg, DO. It provides financial assistance to a second year DO student who places in the upper-third of the class and demonstrates financial need. The successful candidate must be of good moral character, show humanitarian qualities and express an interest in primary care medicine.

AMANDA MARIE FIDLER
PharmD’13 and Joshua Mark Houtz of Lebanon, Pa., were married Oct. 10, 2015 at Stoudt’s Brewery in Adamstown, PA. The couple honeymooned in Germany.
