University of the Sciences teamed up with the office of Philadelphia City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell to donate Thanksgiving meals to more than 150 deserving families across West Philadelphia on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Dimitri Dimopoulos, owner of Allegro Pizza and Grill in University City, provided the frozen turkeys and the USciences community supplied all the fixings for a traditional holiday meal. Read more.

P'76, received the Award for Distinguished Leadership in Health-System Pharmacy Practice by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, during its Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition, held Dec. 6-10, in New Orleans.

P'89, MPH'12 received the George H. Searight Community Service Award during the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association's Annual Conference on Oct. 4.

Howard McLeod
P'90 was featured in his role as medical director of the DeBartolo Family Personalized Medicine Institute at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.

Julie Gerhart-Rothholz
P'94 received the J. Allen Duffield Pharmaceutical Industry Award during the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association's Annual Conference on Oct. 4.

Alumni Returned for New Homecoming Game Tradition

The USciences community recently gathered for the start of a new tradition: an annual homecoming game. The event was held on Saturday, Dec. 5, and kicked off with a tailgate celebration in the ARC parking lot. Between the men's and women's basketball games, former athletic director Bobby Morgan was honored for his induction into the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference Hall of Fame.
