One of the greatest seasons in the history of the men's basketball program at University of the Sciences came to an end on Sunday, March 16, as Southern New Hampshire University rallied to defeat the Devils 59-53 in the NCAA Division II East Region Semi-Finals. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a remarkable season!

Camups Update

Mayes College held its annual Making the Connections program on March 12. This year's topic was "Obesity: The Public Health, Health Policy, and Business Sides of the Disease." National experts addressed how obesity is a public health challenge, fraught with health policy and business implications. |

Students, Faculty Eager to Showcase Work at Research Day/Krantz Lecture: USciences will showcase the diversity and growth of research pursuits on Thursday, April 9. The 28th annual John C. Krantz, Jr., Distinguished Lecture will feature Dr. Arthur L. Caplan.

Dr. Marc Caserio Athletic Director: Marc Caserio, EdD, was recently named athletic director after filling the role of interim athletic director since August 2014. Over the course of the past seven months, he has proven to be a capable and dedicated leader for USciences athletics.

USciences to Host Panel on LGBT Healthcare on April 1: USciences has teamed up with local non-profit organizations to host its first Panel on LGBT Healthcare on Wednesday, April 1, from 7-9 p.m., in Griffith Hall (lecture room A and lobby).

Student Organization Raised Hundreds of Dollars for Homeless Initiative: Chelsea Cunningham PharmD’16 has coordinated several on-campus fundraisers to buy and fill more than 50 backpacks with essential items for homeless individuals across Philadelphia.

Pat Klishevich P'75 and her teammate Veronique De Sybourg-Siffert will be the only U.S./Swiss team competing in the 2015 Gazelle Rally—a 1,553 mile automobile race across the Moroccan desert that spans nine days. Pat has been practicing pharmacy in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, for the past 35 years.

BI'13, DrOT'17 recently competed for the Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Program to shed light on the importance of summer programs for kids.

Kajal Patel
PharmD’11 was one of four individuals, including her husband, who drowned while vacationing in the Dominican Republic earlier this month.
