More than 500 New Students Begin USciences Journey: Move-in day marks one of the busiest days of the year at University of the Sciences, and kicked off the Welcome Week for the more than 500 new students who arrived to campus on Friday, Aug. 22. Local news personality Tracy Davidson, who also serves as a board of director for Philabundance, was the keynote speaker during this year's 12th annual convocation ceremony. Video | Photos

Camups Update
The University community is invited to celebrate the completion of the Integrated Professional Education Complex (IPEX) at a special ribbon cutting ceremony and reception set for Thursday, Sept. 18, from 1:30-3 p.m. This ceremony is among several events on tap during Alumni Reunion weekend (Sept. 18-21). Allan Goldberg
P’59, DO, celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife Froma by going on an Alaskan cruise with his entire family including their seven grandchildren in July. Allan, who is retired and lives in Scottsdale, AZ, spent the month of August on Coronado Island, CA, with his wife.

David A. Wood
P'92, DO, a board certified family physician, was appointed to the Wayne Memorial Community Health Center-Hamlin staff in July. He most recently served as medical director of the Sullivan County (Pa.) Medical Center.

Monica McHale-Small P’93 was elected to a three-year term as the Saucon Valley School District superintendent of schools effective Aug. 11.

Joanne Krakowiak
P’62, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23. She spent much of her career as a pharmacist in charge at Eckerd Drug, and had also served as a director on the Delaware Pharmacists Society Board of Directors.

Vishal Patel
PharmD’12 passed away in May as the result of a fatal motorcycle accident. He was employed at BMS and was well liked and respected among all his co-workers. He resided in Old Bridge, NJ, and was a proud member of USciences Delta Chi fraternity.
