Marvin Samson Receives First USciences Service Award: USciences presented its first Service Award to board chairman Marvin Samson, above center with scholarship recipients, at a dinner on Friday, Nov. 1. The event has raised nearly $350,000 this year for student scholarships. Click here to see more photos.

PCP will present its 35th Annual Symposium on Advances in Pharmacy Practice, a continuing pharmacy educational program, developed for pharmacists to be kept up to date on pharmacy practice, on March 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the University's McNeil Science and Technology Center. The program will be held again in Harrisburg on Sunday, March 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Holiday Inn, 4751 Lindle Road. Click here for more information.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell appointed Susan Speldos Esposito P'72 to serve on the Delaware Board of Pharmacy for a two-year term, ending in October 2015.

1974

Carol L. St. George BI’74 (DO’79 PCOM) was recently recognized by PCOM president Matthew Schure for leadership and support as a PCOM alum. She is also chairman of the Department of Surgery at Memorial Hospital in York, PA, and recently celebrated 29 years as an otolaryngologist.

1977
Robert Stanek
P'77 has been named to the board of directors for Accretive Health.

1988
Richard P. Becker, Jr. P'88 has been appointed CEO of Voltarra Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

2010
Adam C. McFarland DPT’10 and Brandi Gilmore were married on July 5. Adam is a physical therapist and Brandi is a school counselor. They live in Breinigsville, PA.

2011

Alumni Dave Kittle DPT’11 and Annie Abbate DPT’11 returned to USciences for their special marriage proposal.

Student/Alumni Bowling Party Deemed a Success

The University chapter of APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists, in conjunction with the Alumni Association, hosted a student/alumni bowling party at North Bowl on Nov. 21. Proceeds will support student conference registration in the future. Click here for more photos.
