The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) at the University of the Sciences invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. The successful candidate will maintain a clinical practice site in a both a community pharmacy and ambulatory care setting within the greater Philadelphia area.
In both these practice settings, the faculty member will be responsible for supporting the expansion of patient care services such as Medication Therapy Management and other innovative health programs in community settings. In addition, the faculty member will help to develop inter-professional practice partnerships in the community to support training of pharmacy and other health care professional students and conduct applied research related to community pharmacist services that determines its impact on patient care and/or measures economic consequences. Other faculty responsibilities will include the education of students in the didactic and experiential components of the Doctor of Pharmacy program, scholarship, and service activities within the Department, College, and University.
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution, be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania, and have completed a post-graduate training program with an emphasis in community practice or ambulatory care. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence and scholarship. We are seeking individuals with exemplary interpersonal and communication skills who will work collaboratively within the College and the University.
