The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) at the University of the Sciences invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. The successful candidate will maintain an ambulatory care clinical practice/teaching site at a heart failure clinic within the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) Heart and Vascular Center. HUP is a world leader in heart failure and heart transplant with more than 7200 outpatient visits per year and specialty practices in heart failure research, heart transplant, ventricular assist devices, valvular heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, familial cardiomyopathy, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgery supporting the program.
Responsibilities include the education of students in the didactic and experiential components of the Doctor of Pharmacy program, scholarship, and service activities at the practice site, College, and University.
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution, be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania, and have completed preferably two years of post-graduate training in cardiology or ambulatory care. Preference will be given to candidates with specialty residency training in cardiology. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence and scholarship. We are seeking individuals with exemplary interpersonal and communication skills who will work collaboratively within the College and the University.
