OVERALL GOAL
Students will develop an appreciation and understanding of works art, literature, or performance by interpretative or historical perspective.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Students will explore and describe the conceptual and historical development of aesthetics as a scholarly branch of philosophy, and demonstrate critical interpretation of aesthetics in contexts such as architecture, landascape design, culinary design, literature and fine and performing arts.
  • Students will apply their knowledge of aesthetics through the creative process.
