The Lois K. Cohen Endowed Lecture Series in Global Health—Biopharmaceutical Industry Impact on the Developed and Developing World is a knowledge-based, CPE activity. In order to obtain credit attendees must participate in the entire program and complete the online evaluation and learning assessment with a score of 70% or higher.

Objectives:

  1. Describe how the biopharmaceutical industry impacts developing countries.
  2. Describe the Merck Mectizan Donation program’s impact on global health.
  3. Discuss two limitations the pharmaceutical industry faces when providing drugs to developing countries.
  4. Discuss the critical factors required for a public company to make important contributions to developing countries.
  5. Describe the  benefits to a pharmaceutical company that makes a major contribution to developing countries.
