Notes: Prizes are per team. If more than one participant, cash prize and scholarship will be divided among team members.
Participants must attend the competition and awards ceremony at University of the Sciences campus on February 27, 2016 to be eligible for cash prizes and scholarships.
Depending on the number of qualified entries, the competition will be conducted by a bracket structure with the number of rounds to be determined. PowerPoint slides and social media campaign materials will be presented by the student(s) to a panel of judges. Maximum fifteen minutes per presentation. One winning individual/team from each bracket will proceed to the next round of competition.
The competition will start with registration, check-in and breakfast at 10am. It is anticipated that the final awards ceremony and competition will end by 4:30pm. Note: Winning participants must be present for the awards ceremony.
The entries will be judged on creativity and/or originality (30%); understanding the target audience (15%); social media strategy (15%); presentation skills (15%); and social media campaign materials including relevance/applicability, artistic merit, mastery of the media, and production skills (25%)
USciences will determine a panel of judges for this competition. Under no conditions may parents or students contact the judges to dispute the status of an entry. All decisions of the judges are final.
