Institutional Assessment

"Assessment is the systematic collection, review, and use of information about educational programs undertaken for the purpose of improving student learning and development."

Palomba and Banta 1999.

The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia has designed and started implementation of an institution-wide assessment plan, with a focus on assessing academic and student service programs.

The Goal of this Assessment web site is to provide information on assessment at the University and beyond. At this web site, you will find information on:

  1. The University's Assessment Plans and the Appendices for those Plans
  2. Links to other assessment sites
  3. A Guide for Doctor of Pharmacy Program Assessment and the Appendices to the Guide created in conjunction with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. This section will eventually include assessment tools from colleges and schools of pharmacy.

Please send comments, suggestions or questions to Peter Miller.
