University of the Sciences (OPEID 003353) offers three Graduate level certificate programs which are subject to the Gainful Employment Program Disclosure requirements.

Biotechnology Certificate Program

This Graduate level certificate requires the completion of 15 credits. The program can be completed in as few as 3 semesters.

The Biotechnology Certificate prepares students for positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Admission into the certificate program requires a bachelor’s degree and the completion of organic chemistry. This certificate helps students to develop the tools necessary to compete in a market that is increasingly focused on molecular biology and biotechnology.

Tuition and fee cost to complete 15 credits at the 2012-13 rates = $20,865

Estimated Book costs for one academic year = $1,050

Estimated Room and Board costs for the 2012-13 academic year = $13,054

Certificate in Biomedical Writing (Marketing Writing or Regulatory Writing)

This Graduate level certificate requires the completion of 12 credits. The program can be completed in just two semesters of part-time study.

If you already have clinical or pharmaceutical experience and wish to change career directions, our certificate programs allow you to focus on the essential skills required for regulatory or marketing writing. The medical writing certificate in marketing writing focuses on publications and certificate in regulatory writing focuses on preparing documents for initial and continuing approval of therapies. These certificates are intended for people with graduate degrees either seeking senior career positions or further training and credentialing in the biomedical writing field. Certificate coursce may be applied toward the master of science degree.

This Graduate level certificate requires a minimum of 12 credits. The program can be completed in as few as three semesters of part-time study.

The Post-Graduate Certificate Program in pharmaceutical and healthcare business is designed for individuals with advanced degrees with professional experience working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. This certificate prepares students with industry-specific knowledge and skills to assist individuals in advancing their career and meeting the business objectives of employers. This certificate may be earned over 12 months or as long as 4 years. The program allows customization by allowing the student to select courses that are of greatest value to him/her. Classes are offered either in the evening or in an online format.
