USciences Mobile Learning

New USciences Apps

The USciences Mobile app for iOS and Android offers instant access to university news, course catalog, phone directory, library, campus map, athletics’ listings, collections of the university’s latest images and videos, Blackboard Mobile Learn, and emergency contact information. For other internet enabled mobile devices we offer a mobile website with access to only the university news, the athletic listings, course catalog, and the campus map. Users with Blackberry devices can access everything except Blackboard Mobile Learn though the USciences App.

Blackboard Mobile Learn

Using a mobile device such as an iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, or Android you can access your course material on the go. The Blackboard Mobile Learn App allows students and faculty to access course content and course features from any connected device. Interactions such as viewing course documents, responding to iPad, iPhone, and web enchanced cell phone showing Blackboard Mobile Learndiscussion board posts, and interacting with class members are all available through Blackboard Mobile Learn.

iPads at USciences

Several of our programs currently use iPads for both classroom instruction and for mobile access to course content. The iPad offers a striking array of educational tools for students and faculty. The most obvious benefit is the integration of iPads with access to the Blackboard Learn LMS, but there are also apps for interactive textbooks, anatomy diagrams, newsletters, and professional organizations.
