PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency
Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences
in Conjunction with Cooper University Hospital
The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) at the University of the Sciences in conjunction with affiliated teaching hospitals located in the Philadelphia area offers a one-year PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency.
The PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency program at PCP is designed to further refine skills attained during a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency. The goal of the residency program is to produce a practitioner with the ability to deliver pharmaceutical care to a diverse inpatient and outpatient patient population. Resident activities will include participation as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and completion of a longitudinal research project. The resident will participate in didactic and experiential education of Doctor of Pharmacy students and will complete a teaching certificate program.
The Goals and Objectives of the program are those of the ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency program.
In addition, we have customized objectives including completion of a teaching certificate program and submission of a research abstract for presentation at a conference in addition to submission of a manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal.
