Varian High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph

The Varian HPLC is just one example of several HPLC's available in the Department. These instruments are used routinely for the isolation of pure compounds in courses such as analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis and biochemistry laboratory, as well as in research projects. The HPLC's available are equipped for isocratic, gradient and quaternary solvent delivery, and have a variety of detectors, including, electrochemical, fluorescence and UV photodiode array. If you would like more information about the applications of these instruments in teaching and research, please contact
Dr. Fred Schaefer.
Varian Gas Chromatograph
The Varian GC is a stand-alone gas chromatograph used to separate volatile organic compounds. This instrument is used routinely to monitor the progress of organic reactions. If you would like more information about the applications of this instrument in teaching and research, please contact Dr. Fred Schaefer.
