Chemistry Careers: What Can You Do With a Chemistry Degree?

Chemists are in high demand in a wide variety of industries, and chemical firms will continue to support research and development activities through in-house teams or outside contractors, spurring the growth of employment for chemists. Common areas of employment include:

Graduates of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry earn competitive salaries immediately following graduation. BS graduates in the chemical sciences (biochemistry, chemistry or pharmaceutical chemistry) earn salaries ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 upon graduating.
