BS/Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program

(available to transfer students only, through 2012)

Our BS/MOT program is being phased out in favor of our BS/DrOT program. Students who have taken college coursework but have not received a bachelor’s degree may transfer into our BS/MOT program through May 2012, depending on the coursework they have completed. (3rd-year transfers only in May 2012.) But why not spend only 1½ years more and come out with a doctorate by transferring into our new accelerated pathway to the DrOT program?

Please see our transfer student website for further transfer details.

When you enter the professional phase of the BS/MOT program (year 3), you’ll learn how to work effectively with people and how disease and disability can affect the way people think, feel and live their lives. And you’ll participate in the classroom actively as you learn how to apply the skills you’ve learned in the world around you.

Coursework is divided into four levels and four themes.
Levels

  • Foundation
  • Integration
  • Intervention
  • Application

Themes

  • Critical thinking
  • Engagement
  • Clinical reasoning
  • Innovations in practice
