Research Summary
The stability of a drug in a variety of dosage forms under the many conditions of administration to the patient, prolonged storage under a myriad of climatic conditions, and admixture with other drugs and diluents is often unknown, or at best, based on conjecture with limited experimental evidence. Using modern analytical and instrumental techniques (infrared, high performance liquid and gas chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, etc) studies of the relative stability and compatibility of various drugs and admixtures are being studied.
However, it should be noted that as a result of my recent appointment as an Emeritus Professor, effective in Fall 2002, I will not be accepting any new research students into my laboratory. I will continue to be available for consultation in my areas of expertise.
