Biography
Prior to coming to Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences, Dr. Willey was the Vice President of Research for HealthCore, a health outcomes research company located in Wilmington, DE. He received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Dr. Willey has published over 25 original research manuscripts in peer reviewed journals and has presented research at numerous medical, pharmacy and research national meetings. He has also served as a peer reviewer for several medical and pharmacy journals and is currently a member of the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy’s Editorial Advisory Board. His research interests are focused on the outcomes associated with medication therapy in the “real-world” setting of clinical practice, the therapeutic area of dyslipidemia management and the pharmacist within the medical home concept.
Dr. Willey’s teaching responsibilities include several therapeutic areas within the Pharmacotherapeutics course, biomedical literature evaluation and presentation skill development within the Professional Seminar course and use of statistics by clinicians. In addition, he maintains a clinical practice within an outpatient family medicine setting and serves as the faculty advisor for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists (AMCP) University of the Sciences student chapter.
