Biography
Dr. O’Connor has served as an associate professor at University of the Sciences since February 2008. He is an experienced teacher and scholar, having taught drug therapy, product selection and patient monitoring for 35 years.
Prior to coming to USciences, Dr. O’Connor taught at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Ohio State University, Temple University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. A licensed pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, he holds a PharmD and BS in pharmacy from USciences and an MBA from Babson College.
Dr. O’Connor has published several articles on careers in pharmacy and successfully landed many continuing education grants from and contracts with medical communications and pharmaceutical companies, including the Merck Company Foundation, Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pharmacy Times and Scientific Frontiers.
Dr. O’Connor’s research and teaching interests include:

- Managing pharmacy personnel
- Implementation of patient counseling services
- Medical terminology
